This antique bangle bracelet (circa 1880-1900) features bird with a prong set 0.56ct natural vivid purplish red cushion cut ruby in its beak and a leaded glass paste eye, set in 98% silver topped 18k gold. The bird is adorned with 157 rose cut diamonds having a total carat weight of 0.93ct.
The hinged bangle measures 2 inches from top to bottom by 2.35 inches wide and weighs 33.52 grams.. It is shaped to be worn over a sleeve or glove, and is in great condition with one small indentation on the reverse of the bangle.
The metal content of this piece was verified via XRF (x-ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
